Boston College clapped back with four more points to reach match point, but Tech sullied the Eaglesβ chances of taking a set, using a final four-point rally to claim the set, 26-24, and the match sweep. Tech rallied once more with a five-point run, evening the score at 20 apiece. The Eagles continued to surge up to an 18-12 lead, but the Jackets responded with a three-point run to draw within three. Tech finished out the set in dominant fashion, taking the final five points as Bergmann wrapped up the set with back-to-back kills for a 25-13 second set triumph in favor of the Jackets.Δ«oston College refused to go down without a fight, taking the first lead of the set and hanging on up to a 10-8 advantage. The Jackets increased their lead to seven soon after with three straight points up to a 12-5 advantage, then continued to roll with a four-point run up to lead 20-11. Tech carried its momentum into the second set, using an early five-point burst to take a 9-3 lead. The Eagles managed to knot things up at 15 all, but Georgia Tech pressed on, avoiding trailing for the remainder of the set and jumping on top 20-17 before a Bergmann kill closed out the set for a 25-21 Jacket victory. In a back-and-forth first set early, the Jackets used a three-point run to reach double digits first with a 10-8 lead. Georgia Tech has won 49 of its last 58 matches dating back to 2019. The Yellow Jackets are now a perfect 9-0 in true road matches and 7-0 away from The Flats in ACC play. Junior outside hitter Julia Bergmann reinforced Brambilla on the attack with 16 kills of her own to go with 11 digs and a block assist for her ninth double double this season.
